Delete account

App and developer
This page applies to the Atmosphere Android app distributed on Google Play.
The developer and operator of the Service are identified on the Privacy policy page.
How to delete your account (step by step)
Account deletion is done in the app; you do not need a web client.
- Open the Atmosphere app and sign in to your account.
- Tap the “Profile” tab in the bottom navigation bar.
- On your profile screen, tap “Edit” to open “Profile settings”.
- Scroll down and tap “Delete account”.
- Confirm in the dialog, enter your account password, and complete the flow.
What is deleted on the server
After successful account deletion, the Service removes or stops using server-side data tied to that account: your user record, password hash, login, account cryptographic keys, session data, push notification token (FCM), profile and privacy settings, block list, and other data stored to run the messenger for that account.
Previously uploaded end-to-end encrypted messages and temporary chat files are handled according to the Service retention rules (see the privacy policy). A profile photo, if any, is removed with profile data.
What stays on your device and retention
Chat history, contacts, encryption keys, and app cache stay on your device. They are not wiped automatically when the server account is deleted. To remove them, clear app data in Android settings (“Settings” → “Apps” → Atmosphere → “Storage” → “Clear data”) or uninstall the app.
Technical logs at hosting providers and similar infrastructure records may be kept for a limited period as defined by the provider and applicable law.
If you cannot delete the account in the app
Email support@atmospherechat.com. Use a subject line that clearly requests Atmosphere account deletion and include your account username. We will handle the request within a reasonable time, subject to technical feasibility and legal requirements.
